Slide show....

New Product....

K.I.T by Steph now offers customizable cards.

Did you ever see a card and think "That's cute, but i wish it had a different message inside"? Well, K.I.T by Steph has the solution: customizable cards. Choose your card and then choose the message that goes inside. Messages are self-stick so you can decide if you'd like to put the message on the outside (leaving more room for a personal message on the inside) or on the inside.

To see a sample go to the K.I.T by Steph Picasa site.

Inspiration

What inspires me 1) Romans 1:20 The natural world is filled with unparalleled beauty. Just sitting on the front porch observing the natural surroundings never ceases to amaze and inspire me. 2) Paint chips at the hardware store gives me ideas for unique color combinations.

How it Began

As is the case with most business beginnings, K.I.T.bySteph was born at the convergence of several events. My volunteer career was in full swing, my $ecular job failed me, an impending trip to an International Convention in Hawaii were all motivating factors.

Well, i misplaced my part-time secular job and source of income and since I am going to Hawaii for the International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Honolulu, Hawaii in November (and of course I have to pay the bills) I needed a source of income. I thought about getting a part-time job, but I wasn't finding a job with my desired schedule (my full days in volunteer service are Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). My career as a Regular Pioneer (a.k.a. full time volunteer minister) always takes the primary place in my life so I started considering my other options.

I discussed my options with my friends and fellow Pioneers. They were full of suggestions, but a recurring theme among their advice was "pray to Jehovah God, be creative, think about what you like to do, use the talents Jehovah gave you in a way that allows you to support yourself and continue in your volunteer ministry."

Jewelry making and scrap booking have been a lifelong passion, so it was a natural choice to have one of these avenues become the focus of my first business venture. I spent two days making a sample book full of cards and then began showing these samples to friends, associates and relatives.....and the rest is history.....

Jehovah has blessed my efforts to support myself while putting service to him first in my life. How I appreciate His support and guidance and the support of those who have put trust in my creative abilities.

Thank you for your business and support!!!

Day 1

K.I.T. (Keep In Touch) by Steph is the name of my new Handmade Stationary business. I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and since I've already sold four orders I would say I am officially and entrepreneur.

While this is not technically the first day of my new business venture, this is my first day of blogging about it. On this blog I will keep track of all the things I learn as I operate my new business. I will also use it to display new items and bounce design ideas off of you all.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
